While personal accolades are a great honour, the likes of City and Chelsea in particular are fully focussed on winning the WSL title. The race for that particular trophy could go down to the final day between the two aforementioned sides.

City's Shaw was named Women's Footballer of the Year by the Football Writers' Association earlier this month. Her 21 goals in 18 WSL games helped her scoop this gong, beating out James and team-mate Alex Greenwood into second and third respectively. She became the second Citizens player to win this award following Nikita Parris' triumph in 2019.
WHAT NEXT?
City, who are without Shaw for their final WSL game of the season due to a foot injury, round off their campaign away to Aston Villa next weekend, whereas second-placed Chelsea face Tottenham and Manchester United in their last two fixtures. The Blues have a plus one goal difference over their nearest rivals.
