After beating Brighton 2-1 on Sunday and then seeing their fellow title challengers play out a goalless draw later in the day, Liverpool now sit two points clear of Arsenal at the top of the table, while City sit a further point behind.

With nine games left to play, Guardiola feels Liverpool have a big advantage in the bid to take home the English crown. He thinks his own side are now the third favourites, admitting they have let control of the race fall out of their hands.
WHAT GUARDIOLA SAID
Asked if he thinks Liverpool are the favourites to win the title, Guardiola agreed, telling : "They are in first position. They are top of the league so that is how it is. There are still nine games to go so we will see what happens."
He added in a press conference: "Arsenal are the second favourites, we are the third. Whoever is top is favourite. It was in our hands. Now it's not."

City will hope to avoid another slip up on Wednesday when they take on Aston Villa, who sit fourth and five points behind them. Arsenal will visit Brighton on the same evening while Liverpool will take on bottom side Sheffield United on Thursday.
